Zoe is no longer an aggrigator
As of version 0.6.3 Zoe is no longer a self-contained aggrigator. Instead, you should use an RSS to EMail gateway to get your RSS feeds indexed. This was done to allow Zoe's developers to concentrate more on Zoe's features. The general concensus is that you'd be better of with an aggregator thats actively being updated to support all the strange RSSisms out there. See
RSS To Email Gateways.
0.6.2 and earlier:
To enable reading of your favorite RSSFeeds in Zoë go to Preferences and select the rss Assistant. In the Subscriptions field browse to a txt file containing the URL's of your favorite RSSFeeds. The format of the text file must be one URL on each line, or an
[OPML-style] file. Finally hit the IMPORT button .... and in a while your RSSFeeds should be processed.
It seems that URL's to feeds only work if they reference an actual RSS or RDF file. If the link is to a dynamic producer of RSS content such as PHP, CGI etc... then Zoë fails to successfully get the feed content.
You can not edit the list of RSS feeds from within Zoe. You need to edit the OPML or text file that contains the list first, then re-import that file into Zoe.
